Guided Meditation Sessions

In partnership with UF and UF Health experts, these guided meditation sessions are roughly 10 minutes in length and aim to provide a sense of calm and overall well-being. Feel free to explore different styles of mediation in the links provided below.

Meet the instructors:

Marika R. Alois, M.D., is an assistant professor within the division of general internal medicine at UF College of Medicine. Alois serves as a physician for both integrative medicine and internal medicine for primary care services.

Angie Brown, is the UFHR Communication and Worklife director. Brown is a certified workplace mindfulness facilitator that has been meditating and leading mindfulness workshops at the University of Florida for over a decade.

Kim Holton, Ph.D., is an instructional assistant professor in the Department of Health Education & Behavior and the UF Mindfulness associate director. Holton has been a practitioner of mindfulness since 1998 and began leading yoga classes and workshops in 2002. She offers yoga and meditation for the UF and Gainesville area community at various locations.

Carol Lewis, Ph.D., M.P.H., CPH, is a clinical psychologist with 30 years of clinical experience. Lewis worked in the Outpatient Department of the UF Health Psychiatric Hospital for 20 years before becoming an associate professor in the UF Department of Psychiatry.

Lisa J. Merlo, Ph.D., M.P.E., is the director of Wellness Programs for the UF College of Medicine and is active in the education of medical students, residents and other health profession students.
