A quick morning reflection could make you a better leader
Starting your day by thinking about what kind of leader you want to be can make you more effective at work, according to a new study authored by Remy Jennings, a Warrington College of Business doctoral student, and Klodiana Lanaj, Warrington College of Business associate professor of management. The study was recently published in the journal of Personnel Psychology.
Study participants who engaged in this morning reflection were more likely to report helping co-workers and providing strategic vision than on days they didn’t take the time to do so. Participants also reported feeling “more leaderlike” on those days, perceiving more power and influence in the office. Visit the UF News website to learn more.
