Self-driving vehicles take to the roads in Gainesville

If you’ve been anywhere near SW 2nd Ave. between the UF campus and downtown this week, you may have noticed a cheerfully odd-looking vehicle making its way back and forth along the corridor. Beginning in February, a new autonomous shuttle funded by a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation is available to ride free of charge between campus and a downtown parking garage daily from 8 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
