Open enrollment for adoption benefits available through March 31
State employees and other eligible applicants who adopt a child from Florida’s child welfare system may be eligible for a one-time lump sum of $10,000 for a special needs child or $5,000 for a non-special needs child. Open enrollment for the program runs through March 31. Part-time employees participating in the program will have the amounts pro-rated. The Florida Department of Children and Families Office of Child Welfare administers the adoption benefits.
Family Resources Coordinator available to help
UFHR Benefits has expanded its services to include a Family Resources Coordinator for UF faculty and staff. The coordinator assists with community and university resources for families.
