Cultivating Compassion and Collectivism

Profile pictureRacial trauma has many academics oscillating between fight, flight and freeze responses. Beginning Feb. 10, Della V. Mosley, Ph.D., UF assistant professor of counseling psychology, will host a series of workshops under the theme of “Cultivating Compassion & Collectivism.” Dr. Mosley will describe the connection between trauma, healing, compassion and collectivism, and introduce and guide participants through practices that help cultivate compassion and collectivism as a means to help facilitate healing from racial trauma.

The series is sponsored by the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD), of which UF is an institutional member. If you do not already have an account, you can activate it by visiting facultydiversity.org/join and finding the University of Florida in the drop-down menu. After registering, you can register for Dr. Mosley’s series here.
